ABOUT PEBBLETON

Pebbleton Press is a creative company that is dedicated to provide artistic, quality, fun and educational products for families.

Originally born from being between a rock and a hard place by a single parent, Pebbleton Press is beginning its focus on Children’s Books. Of all the companies in the world there are a few key ones that stand out due to their dedication to quality. Pebbleton Press intends to be one of them.

Located in a coastal New England town, Pebbleton may be small, but we hope to have a large and positive impact on those lives we touch.

Mama's WishAbout the Authors

Debbie Blackington has a B.A. in Mass Communications and Interdisciplinary Film from Purdue University, an M.S. in Telecommunications from Syracuse University, and more recently, a B.F.A. in Computer Animation from Ringling School of Art and Design. She has also taken classes in children’s books.

Because she did not have any baby records of special moments for her new daughter, she began writing Mama’s Wish in 1997 as a baby book. She wanted her daughter to know what was happening while she waited for her, how she felt, and how many lives her daughter had already touched.

The Storyteller

Brynne Blackington was 4 years old when she asked her mother to take the moon and the star off of her shelf at bedtime so she could tell a special story. It was a story of becoming a family and told from the heart. Her mother thought the story was beautiful and asked her to tell it again for the camera, but Brynne said she could only tell it once. So her mother ran to write it down and it became the story Daughter’s Wish.

The Translator

Gracie's EarsGracie’s Ears

Gracie’s Ears is dedicated to Brynne’s younger sister Gracie and Gracies everywhere. When we adopted Gracie, we had no idea she had difficulty hearing. Told in rhyme, we hope our book Gracie’s Ears can introduce what hearing aids are and what a difference they can make to those who wear them.
